Description: In this webinar, Dr. Joseph Goldberg, Professor of Psychiatry at Icahn School of Medicine, Mount Sinai in New York, Dr. C. Brendan Montano, internist and private practice focused on integrated medicine in Cromwell, Connecticut, and  Mr. Dwayne Mayes, Program Director of the Recovery Network and Peer Training Program at the Mental Health Association of Westchester, New York, will discuss their perspectives of the impact of coronavirus pandemic on psychiatry and patients, as clinicians and  a peer specialist currently practicing in the US epicenter of the virus along with Jehan Marino, PharmD, BCPP, Senior Medical Science Liaison for Otsuka Pharmaceutical Development & Commercialization, Inc.

Our speakers will discuss the effects of social distancing, stress of this crisis & media coverage on psychiatry and health care providers treating individuals with mental health conditions. Drs. Goldberg & Montano will share their clinical perspectives along with their experience utilizing telehealth and digital technology when engaging and communicating with their patients. Mr. Mayes will share his perspective, as a peer specialist on the impact of COVID-19 on individuals with underlying mental health conditions, practical tips on use of technology, and provide insights on resources that are available for coping and managing stress during this period of isolation.
