People With Schizophrenia Have 2.7 Times The Risk Of Death Due To COVID-19 After Adjusting For Medical Risk Factors
People with schizophrenia spectrum disorder (schizophrenia) have about 2.7 times higher odds of dying from coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) than those without schizophrenia. The only risk factor that had a higher risk of death from COVID-19 was age. Those aged 75 years or older had 35.7 times increased odds of death from COVID-19.
