Maine DHHS To Expand Addiction Disorder Treatment With New IMD Waiver

The Maine Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is expanding the Medicaid addiction treatment continuum to include inpatient and residential treatment at facilities with 16 or more beds, which are considered Institutions for Mental Disease (IMD) and not normally eligible for federal Medicaid reimbursement.
