Facebook To Limit Posts Promoting Medical Misinformation
On July 2, 2019, Facebook announced that it has taken steps to limit the reach of posts promoting medical misinformation. The company now actively reduces ranking updates to posts with what it believes to be exaggerated or sensational health claims, and to posts attempting to sell products or services based on health-related claims.
