A Virtual Live Event for PsychU members in Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma.
The presentation will address the increasing relevance of cannabis in the U.S. and the importance for care providers to communicate with patients on cannabis use. The discussion will examine the changing U.S. regulatory landscape, detail the neurobiological effects of cannabis, and review the potential risk and benefits of cannabis in mental health.

Steven Stoner, PharmD, BCPP, is the Chair of Pharmacy & Administration and a Clinical Professor at the UMKC School of Pharmacy. He received his PharmD from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Pharmacy. Dr. Stoner completed a postdoctoral residency in psychiatric pharmacy practice and administration and a fellowship at Western Missouri Mental Health Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
