Description

This review of psychopharmacology begins with an overview of the cellular and molecular makeup of the nervous system that supports effective electrical and chemical transmission. Concepts of receptor pharmacology of a therapeutic molecule, such as its binding affinity to a specific neurotransmitter receptor, intrinsic activity, and receptor occupancy, will be discussed.
