Description: Up to 20% of women will experience mood disorder symptoms during pregnancy or the postpartum period.1 Weighing the risks and benefits of medication use during the perinatal period can be a challenge for women who are struggling with symptoms of anxiety and depression. In this webinar, Dr. Lisa Weinstock will focus on strategies to help women and their clinicians make informed decisions around pharmacologic interventions for mood disorders during pregnancy and the postpartum period.

Lisa Weinstock, MD, received her BA from the University of Pennsylvania and her MD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. She completed her internship and residency in psychiatry at McLean Hospital, in Belmont, MA, then received a clinical research fellowship in perinatal psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital, in Boston. Board-certified in psychiatry and neurology, Dr. Weinstock is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at New York Medical College, in Valhalla, NY, and she also maintains a private practice in Westchester, NY.
