Description: Patient engagement is an important issue in mental illness. Studies have reported that 18-67% of patients with mental illness failed to attend their first outpatient appointment after hospital discharge.1 In this virtual forum, Dr. Rebecca Roma and Heather Fair, RN will define patient engagement, discuss the economics of patient engagement and its associated outcomes, and review some engagement strategies and methodologies for patients with mental illness. The virtual forum will conclude with time for questions from the audience.
