Virtual Forum: Meeting The Challenges In Caring For Patients With Schizophrenia: Roles Of The Pharmacist
Location: Online Via PsychU.org
Description: Addressing the challenges of caring for patients with schizophrenia in terms of treatment, recovery, and remission requires a coordinated effort across all members of a treatment team. The role of pharmacist in treating schizophrenia has expanded in recent years, with pharmacists taking a more active role in identifying the best treatment options for individual patients. In this virtual forum, Dr. Lawrence J. Cohen and Dr. Larry Ereshefsky will provide the pharmacist’s perspective on the current challenges and roles of pharmacists in treating schizophrenia, identify important considerations in monitoring metabolic wellness, and review new and emerging research in treating schizophrenia. The virtual forum will conclude with time for questions from the audience.
Drs. Cohen and Ereshefsky are paid consultants for Otsuka Pharmaceutical Development & Commercialization, Inc.
