Live Program: Bridging The Gaps Between Primary Care & Psychiatry In The Treatment Of Major Depressive Disorder
Description: While collaboration between primary care and psychiatry is a goal in treating mental illness, there remains significant opportunities for improvement. Nurses are well-positioned to contribute to this effort. This presentation will review the prevalence and burden of MDD, discuss problematic gaps between primary care and psychiatry, examine the role of nurses in collaborative care models designed to bridge these gaps, and explore the potential of evidence-based scales in contributing to improved outcomes.
Registration for this program is available exclusively to members of the Black Nurses Rock Mobile Bay Area chapter.
