APA Releases New Evidence-based Practice Guideline for Patients with Schizophrenia

Patients with schizophrenia should have documented, comprehensive, and person-centric treatment plans that include evidence-based nonpharmacologic and pharmacological treatments, according to a new practice guideline on the treatment of schizophrenia developed by the American Psychiatric Association (APA). The executive summary of the guideline is published in September issue of The American Journal of Psychiatry.
