75% Of Correctional Facilities Report Staff Have Adequate Personal Protective Equipment For COVID-19

As of April 23, 2020, about 75% of correctional facilities in the United States report that their staff had adequate personal protective equipment (PPE) for COVID-19, up from 60% on March 30, 2020. Based on self-reports from correctional facilities participating in a survey, about 13% of inmates tested for COVID-19 have tested positive, as have 15% of correctional officers and 12% of health staff.
